Job Responsibilities:
- Software development in hardware related software
- Lead software/test design efforts, including authoring and reviewing proposals
- Drive root cause analysis in case of customer escalations
- Develop test plans to properly characterize the design and validate if operational performance requirements are met
- Definition & execution of unit tests during development activities
- Present relevant material in design, and project reviews
Qualifications:
- Technical HTL, FH or University degree with focus on software development and/or automation technology
- Several years of professional experience in PLC programming (preferably in B&R or Beckhoff systems)
- Knowledge & professional experience of a high-level language such as structured text and C/C++ is mandatory
- Knowledge & experience in the field of software release management and version management (source code management)
- Professional experience with communication interfaces and protocols (TCP/IP, Modbus,…)
- Proven record of SW testing in simulation environments and experience with virtual machines
- Very good oral and written communication skills in English
- Technical understanding and good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and focus on detail
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industryin occupation group E or F, depending on the education. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
